Watercolor on gessoed paper - 8x10
Creative Challenge - paint on a different surface. I used 140 lb watercolor paper and coated it with gesso first. This creates a slick surface so that the watercolor paint will sit on the paper instead of soaking in. The colors will stay bright and you can lift back to white at anytime. It is also a challenge to layer the paint without disturbing the layers underneath and allows for a more painterly style.
