SUMMER FARM
Watercolor - 11x14
Sometimes, when I’m facing a blank sheet of watercolor paper and am not sure what I want to create, I’ll decide to revisit a subject I’ve painted before. I can paint it again in a similar style or I can switch things up and choose a completely different method for painting it. Instead of using a paint brush I might repaint the subject using only a mouth atomizer. Or if I originally used watercolor I might try acrylics or add some collage for a mixed media piece.
I’ve found that by changing things up I revitalize my passion for the subject and I start to see it in
a whole new light. Which leads to more creative energy and fun. And isn't that what it is all about?
