With watercolor you can start with wet paper and apply loose, bold shapes using bright colors and let the paint flow and move to create an exciting beginning for your painting. When that first layer is dry you can then come back in with paint to create some sort of order, defining shapes and pulling your composition together with a strong value pattern. A very fun, exciting and creative way to paint!
