WILD IRIS
Watercolor w/ Stamping - 15x22
Wild Iris was featured in a colorful Etsy Treasury titled Sorbet. I began this painting by applying several stamps coated with white gesso to the wateroclor paper. When I began applying the watercolors the gesso resisted the paint, allowing the white shapes to show thru and add an unexpected dimension to the painting.
