For a long time after I began painting in watercolor I leaned towards using a cool palette - all shades of blues, some greens and maybe a little bit of purple thrown it. I decorated with those colors and was comfortable with them. When I began teaching I really had to push myself to focus more on warm colors - yellow, gold, orange, red. It took a while to get comfortable with them, but now I enjoy jumping back and forth between warm and cool tones and had fun combining them in Sunrise.
