I love live theater and am lucky enough to have friends that feel the same way. As a visual artist and someone who absolutely could not get up on any stage for any reason I have great admiration for the performing arts. Last weekend, we went to see the Marvelous Wonderettes at the Oak Ridge Playhouse here in Tennessee.
The show starts out as the girl singing group takes the stage at their 1958 senior prom. Through the classic hits of the 50's we learn about their lives and loves, discovering that their dreams are as big as their poodle skirts. A decade later, the Wonderettes reunite at their 10-year reunion where we catch up with their lives with songs from the 60's. It was a wonderful show, with sassy girls, cute humor and amazing music with wonderful harmony and solos. SO much fun!
