Breckenridge Batik - KOI FISH

Original Watercolor Batik - 12x19
$100 - Buy Here

Koi Fish is a watercolor batik painted on rice paper using watercolors and melted wax as a resist. This is a fun technique because the paint tends to run and crawl along the fibers of the rice paper creating interesting textural effects. I will be focusing on this technique during my Artist in Residence  program in Breckenridge, CO.

  1. This piece of watercolour Batik is beautiful...I am doing an art project on Koi fish and I have been looking for different types of mixed media..this very piece of art has made me want to do it on watercolour Batik :)

  2. Good - I hope it turns out well!
