SPRING HARMONY

SPRING HARMONY
Watercolor - 11x14

I began Spring Harmony by wetting 140 lb watercolor paper, placing tissue paper on top and then applying the paint loosely on top of the tissue. I let everything dry and when I removed the tissue an interesting pattern of texture had been created all over the composition.

I then used negative painting to further define the flowers, leaves and vase for a soft, delicate look.
