BOUQUET OF COLOR

I began painting Bouquet of Color by wetting 140 lb watercolor paper and placing a thin piece of crumpled tissue paper on top. I painted with watercolors on top of the tissue, laying in color loosely for the flowers, leaves and vase.
After everything dried, I removed the tissue and was left with a fun, colorful underpainting for my floral. i used negative and positive painting to further defined the shape of the flowers and leaves. A very fun technique!
