HIBISCUS PEACH & Tissue Paper

HIBISCUS PEACH
Watercolor - 11x14

It is always fun to shake things up a bit creatively so for Hibiscus Peach I placed crumpled tissue paper on to of 14o lb watercolor paper, spritzed it with water and loosely painted the peach flowers, green leaves and background. After everything dried, I glued the tissue paper down and finished defining the shapes with negative painting. This method creates wonderful texture and gives a batik like look to the finished painting.
