LAKESIDE

Creatively it is always a good idea to challenge yourself to take a different view or perspective of the subject you are planning on painting. For LAKESIDE I had a choice of whether I wanted to focus in on the distant trees, water or the two trees in the foreground.
I decided that I loved the texture on the tree trunks so I used it as my main area of interest with more detail and the grasses to add interest.
