MUSIC OF TULIPS
Watercolor Collage - 15x20
For Music of Tulips I combined watercolor painting with collage. Collage is is a great way to add texture and detail to paintings so I used very fine and delicate rice papers with different lace-like designs. I left some of the rice papers white and others I painted pink, purple or green. I also used stamping on the rice paper - musical notes and a dragon fly - to add even more interest to the composition.
