VISIONS OF VENICE
Watercolor - 14x20
Visions of Venice was one of those paintings that was a blast to paint. I began with wet paper and applied strong colors yellow ochre, mauve and blue, letting the colors mix and mingle freely. I spattered paint and threw on some salt and plastic wrap to create more texture. When everything was dry I used bubble wrap and card board to stamp more color here and there and then began to use negative painting to pull out shapes of boats, building and the bridge.
