It is always a lot of fun to paint roosters because you can really go to town using the brightest colors on your palette. My brother lived on the beautiful island of Kauai for almost twenty years. It is known for its lush landscape, big tropical flowers and the thousands of wild chickens and roosters that roam freely. I always thought roosters only crowed at sunrise but apparently they can let loose at any time of day, especially at night when you really want to get some sleep. At least in a painting they are quiet:)
