Bella Grace is a beautiful magazine publication I recently discovered while shopping for art supplies. They state that they are 'devoted to discovering the magic in the ordinary and to touch the souls of their readers through beautifully penned stories and striking photographs that capture life's beautiful adventure.'
I found that their statement of beliefs could not only be applied to life in general but also to art in particular:
- There is beauty and magic to be found everywhere = in our daily lives we are surrounded by wonderful inspiration for our art
- It is ok to embrace imperfection = especially true when painting with the spontaneous and unpredictable medium of watercolor
- Life should be lived with a full heart and open eyes = art makes us aware of the beauty around us, warms our hearts and feeds our souls
- An ordinary life can be extraordinary = art in any form enriches our lives on a daily basis
