FIELD OF PINK and Watercolor Brushes

FIELD OF PINK
Watercolor - 8x10

I began painting in watercolor almost 25 years ago and my first teacher and us use Loew Cornell brushes. They were affordable, synthetic brushes that held the paint and kept a nice point. Sable brushes were considered the ultimate so when I could finally afford one I found that they were too soft for my taste - kind of like painting with a mop. Thought the years I have tried many other types of brushes made with synthetic, animal hair or a combination of the two but I always seem to come back to my trusty Loew Cornell. Today I do most of my painting with these two brushes - a 1 1/2 inch and a round and they still hold the paint, keep a point and spring back in shape!
