WATERFALL BLUES
Watercolor on gesso 14x19
I found this painting in my stack of unfinished watercolors so I got to work and strengthened some darks, added a few trees and spattered at the bottom of the waterfall. This was painted on 140 lb watercolor paper that I had coated with white acrylic gesso for a smooth painting surface - the colors stay bright, it is easy to lift the paint for whites and it forces you to paint fast and loose!
