ROCKY FALLS
Watercolor 8x10
This was my demo painting for my weekly classes where the focus was painting water and rocks. Whenever I paint water of any kind - waterfall, stream, lake, ocean - I always wet that area of the paper first, use a light touch with the paint and let the water do the work for me. I used a cut up credit card to scrape in the rocks and kept the colors clean and simple.
Since our daughter Lisa has been back home with us, Ginger has been getting spoiled big time. Here she is on a snowy day after a bath, in front of the fire, on her special cushion, wrapped in a towel, with her toy duck - life couldn't be any better!
