INDIAN POTS

I began this painting as a demo for a class I was teaching at the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center's Bemis School of Art. We spent four weeks focusing on southwestern subjects and one of my wonderful students volunteered to bring in some original Indian pottery she owned along with the blanket and feathers. I used some instant coffee on wet paper to create texture on the pots.
