I had so much fun painting this wonderful elephant with all of its texture and wrinkles. I began by wetting all the apper and applying yellow ochre and a hint of purple. I used salt to suggest dust being kicked up by this great animal. When all was dry I painted the shadow areas and detailed the face, trunk and tusks. Kicking It Up now has a new home in New England!
