DIAISY BASKET

I began this painting by wetting the 140 lb watercolor paper and laying in soft shades of purple and green, leaving white areas for the daisies. When all was dry I painted around the petals for more definition, painted in leaves and added details to the basket. I love painting white flowers in watercolor because you have to be aware of your overal composition and saving the white of the paper.
