I love the freedom and spontaneous nature of watercolor. I also love all the fun little tricks that can be used to create texture in a painting like salt on wet paint to suggest stucco as in Old World Window. Painting is the way I express myself but there are many other ways to incorporate creativity into your life - cook a colorful meal, plant an herb, send a letter to a friend, listen to a new style of music, write poetry or spend time in nature.
