This was painted as a demo for a class on Creating Texture in Watercolor. I used saran wrap to create texture and shadows in the sand. The paper was wet first, colors applied to the foreground and the plastic wrap was placed on top and left to dry. When the wrap was removed it left interesting shapes and shadows.
