PINK BLOOMS
Watercolor on rice paper - 11x15
I painted Pink Blooms on masa rice paper to add fun texture to the final piece. I crumpled the paper, put it in water and then glued it to 140 lb watercolor paper.
While everything was still wet I applied color for the basic areas where I wanted the flower, leaves and background.
I used darker color to start defining the shapes using negative painting.
As the paper dried I continued pulling out the details with more paint and darker colors.
