TOUCH OF SPRING

This painting was a demo for one of my watercolor classes. It is a great exercise in using broad areas of color in the initial stage. We began with wet paper and then painted in bands of color, starting at the top with yellow, then pink, green and purple at the bottom. When everything was dry, I came back in with purple to pull out the shapes of the flower blossoms and leaves.
