Seagull Sky began as a demo for my weekly watercolor class as we studied how to paint rocks with water spraying around them. I used a credit card to scrape the paint and create the texture for the rocks and salt in the sky for the illusion of water droplets. The seagulls were masked out before I started painting to preserve the white paper.
Who doesn't love watching those birds swoop and soar over the ocean while listening to the waves roll in?
