Watercolor on Rice Paper Workshop and a Great View

FLORAL BLUES
Watercolor on Rice Paper - 10x15

On Saturday I taught a Watercolor Workshop for the Greater Castle Rock Art Group in Castle Rock, CO. It was a rainy, cloudy day but we still had a beautiful view.
I taught the process of using Massa Rice Paper to watercolor on - the paper is crinkled up and then mounted to regular wc paper.
When the paint is applied to the wet paper it settles into the creases creating wonderful texture and bold colors. Here are a couple of the wonderful students who braved the weather to attend the workshop - we all agreed it made for a great day to stay inside and create to our heart's content!
Stay tuned for my step by step photos of the painting I did on the Massa paper for the class demo!
