SPRING HARMONY

I began this painitng by wetting the 140 lb watercolor paper and laying down crumples tissue paper. I sprayed more water on the tissue and then loosely applied color for the bouquet of flowers.
When all was dry, I removed the tissue paper and revealed a very textured underpainting. I then used negative painting to define the flowers and leaves and added a vase for a fresh, contemporary look.
