CLASSIC TRADITIONS

CLASSIC TRADITIONS is a mixed media collage using an eclectic mix of papers, images and stitching mounted on an 8x10x1/2 inch canvas. Images were carefully selected to create a unique piece of art invoking a feeling of old fashioned traditions. Random stitching was added to the collage along with an old button and the final piece was mounted on burlap and a gallery wrapped canvas that was covered in hand painted tissue paper. The final piece is ready to display by hanging on a wall, propped on a shelf or on placed on a small easel.
