As an artist, every painting we do has a purpose. Whether you consider it a success or not. It is all part of the creative journey.
Sometimes we are too close to the painting to fairly judge it and we need to just walk away. Sometimes we just need to realize that we learned a different way to use our materials. Or we discovered a new color. Or something unexpected happened that turned out great. We need to learn to not be so hard on ourselves and just enjoy the experience and not get too caught up in the finished product.
