When I teach my workshops, I enjoy sharing my style and technique of painting with watercolors. I try to teach how to keep your paintings looking fresh, vibrant and spontaneous, with emphasis on strong values.
When I demo I like to start a painting and then letting the students “catch up”, with plenty of individual instruction. I feel like this helps the students not have that “lost” feeling after watching an instructor complete a 2-hour demo and say “ok, now it’s your turn”. This way, I can break up the painting into shorter demos and spend plenty of time giving each student individual help and encouraging them in their own artistic style.
