In most new things that we try we understand that developing expertise takes time. But for some reason when it comes to art, we expect to be able to produce fabulous paintings almost from the moment we first pick up a brush. We think we should be able to get it right almost immediately.
But just like we would need to train to run a marathon, we need to practice our craft. So allow yourself to paint and create and enjoy the learning process. Don't worry if you make mistakes. Give yourself time to learn and improve and enjoy your own Creative Journey!
