Attending painting workshops are always fun and here are a few tips:
- Prepare your supplies. Make sure you have the supply list provided by the instructor and check things off as you pack up
- If you have any new supplies try them out at home first so you are familiar with them
- Bring a notebook or sketch pad to take notes during the workshop
- Bring a camera to photograph the demos in progress if allowed by the instructor.
- Be prepared mentally. Reflect on why you are taking the workshop and what you hope to learn
- Go with a positive attitude and open mind. You will be trying things outside of your comfort zone that will stretch you creatively
- Plan to have fun! Workshops are part of your artistic journey and should be enjoyable.
