I had SO much fun creating this painting! I began by wetting the 140 lb watercolor paper, setting a piece of tissue paper on top and then painting random colors all over the composition. After it was all dry, I removed the tissue paper to reveal the colorful texture that had been created for the background. I lightly sketched the ballerina and then used marker pens and oil pastel to add color to the figure. I stenciled the letters and the fleur de lis designs in the background.
