I have learned through the years that my time in the studio is spent more effectively if I have a plan in place. Not necessarily a detailed schedule of what and when I am going to paint but a basic idea of what is waiting in the wings after I finish my current creative project. Whether it is a new painting with references photos that I have been wanting to start or an unfinished painting ready to be completed, I try to have everything I need sitting on a side table ready to go. It is my secret to being more productive in the studio!
