NATURE'S BOUNTY

Texture is one of the seven Elements of Design along with shape, size, line, direction, color and value. Creating texture with watercolor can be a challenge because the paint itself is not thick and can't be built up like oils and acrylics.
With watercolor we have to rely on visual instead of tactile texture. For Nature's Bounty I used a credit card to scrape the rocks out of wet paint for a rough look and used a sponge for the texture of the leaves on the background trees.
