STOP PAINITNG! Put your brush down and step away. I always need to remind myself to do this more often during the creative process. It is easy to get so caught up in a painting that we forget just how important it is to take a break, back up and see what is happening in the overall composition.
Things look different when we aren't right on top of them. We see potential problems with colors, shapes, and values before they grow out of control. And, we might just be closer to being finished than we thought!
