One of the definitions of Community is ' a feeling of fellowship with others as a result of sharing common attitudes, interest and goals.' When Todd and I decided to buy our house here on the lake in Tennessee we had no idea that we would become part of such a wonderful, friendly group of people. We are blessed with terrific neighbors who love to get together for food, wine, shopping, cards, biking, kayaking, hiking and boating.
Community is also important in your creative world. Sharing your love of art with others can provide wonderful artistic support and inspiration. When we moved here two years ago I joined several local art groups and began teaching at the art center. Being around other artists has always made me feel more connected and there is nothing better than sharing your love of art with others.
It is important to nurture a sense of community in life and art!
