Several weeks ago these beautiful roses burst into bloom around the lamp posts at the front of our driveway. Roses are such a perfect flower that they can be intimidating to paint but I was inspired to give it a go. I decided to focus on one, large rose and added a little more peach to the pink and red tones of the real flowers. I tried to keep the painting loose and fresh and I decided I should snap a pic of the finished piece with the real roses!
