GLORIOUS BLOSSOMS

I painted Glorious Blossoms using one of my favorite compositional designs - the cruciform. I first wet the paper and then applied paint in a cruciform or cross patter, making sure that I extended the color to all four sides of the paper while leaving white space around it. I let the colors flow and mingle and then added darks to pull out the shape of the white flowers.
