WHISPERS OF PINK
Watercolor - 11x15
I began this painting by wetting 140 lb watercolor paper and then placing crumpled tissue paper on top. I applied colors quickly and randomly on the tissue paper allowing the paint to soak thru to create interesting shapes and texture. When all was dry I removed the tissue and began negative painting to define the shapes of petals and leaves. This technique is a great way to force yourself to loosen up!
