FLORAL BLUES

Sometimes the challenge is to paint just enough detail to tell say 'hydrangeas' but still leave a little mystery for the viewer. I began
Floral Blues on wet paper, placing shades of blue, mauve and green for the leaves in an overall composition. When everything was dry, I added a hint of definition to areas of the flowers and the veins of the leaves for a dreamy painting od springtime flowers.
