Picasso once said "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."
I am always telling myself and my students that painting should be all about enjoying the process and not worrying so much about the final product. Sometimes we get so uptight about how the finished painting will look that we don't enjoy the fun of creating. Children are naturally free and spontaneous with their art - maybe it is time for us to let loose and find the kid in ourselves again!
