ROSES AND BUTTERFLY

A pretty little butterfly flitting among the pink roses. I began this piece by laying in color on wet paper for the roses, leaves and background. When it was dry, I collaged on thin pieces of rice paper in selected areas to add texture to the painting. Then, I painted some more, allowing the paint to run and blend with the rice paper. A fun way to create a mixed media painting!
