My brother lives in beautiful Kauai and I always love seeing their beautiful, lush tropical flowers blooming year round, especially the shape and vibrant colors of the Bird of Paradise. This is a watercolor batik painted on rice paper for rich color and texture.
We just had out first bit of snow here in Colorado and the spring flowers are still in bloom - maybe it is time to visit my brother in Hawaii!
