SONG OF SUMMER

I began this painting by wetting both sides of the paper and placing colors where I thought I might like flowers, letting the colors run where they wanted to. As shapes formed and flowers emerged I moved around the paper painting the suggestion of leaves, buds and more flowers - adding definition and darks where needed. I love painting this way, starting on a journey of color and shapes and not always knowing where it will lead!
