This painting was a class demo showing different ways to paint foiliage. Since watercolor is a transparent paint and not thick like oil or acrylic you have to use visual texture to suggest the leaves instead of building up the thick paint. Here I spattered the paint in different colors, used salt and also put paint on with a sponge.
