This painting was done as a demo for a class. In watercolor we try and use the white of the paper for our lights instead of white paint which tends to be chalky. I painted around the white clouds in the sky on dry paper and used masking fluid to protect the white sail and the reflections in the water. There are times in life that we all wish for 'Calm Seas'
