For nine years, when we lived in Colorado Springs, CO I worked for the Alzheimer's Association to help implement their Memories in the Making Art Program for seniors with dementia. As verbal communication changes, art is often a way for them to express their memories that are still intact and convey their feelings to other family members. Art is always providing connections if we just look for them!
