Day 4 - A Week of Watercolor Flowers by Martha Kisling - SUMMER DELIGHT

SUMMER DELIGHT
Watercolor 11x15

Day 4 of my Week of Watercolor Flowers features white summer flowers and buds dancing freely across the page. Painting white flowers in watercolor can present a challenge since we don't use any white paint and have to remember to keep the white of the paper for the flower petals. Painting white flowers can also be a lot of fun creatively because you can reflect any color you want in to the petals as long as you keep it soft - pale yellow, powder blue and a hint of lavender!
